TEMPLE BHAJAN BAND
“The Temple Bhajan Band is a hot ticket” — The Aquarian
This THU, May 22nd, the Krishna Lounge special guest(s) is the TEMPLE BHAJAN BAND.

The Temple Bhajan Band is a group of devotional chanters that have been
touring Southern California since 1999. The heart of the band is Sura, who sings
to the accompaniment of the harmonium as he leads the rest of the members
on instruments such as the esaraja, tamboura, kartals, flute, violin, and
mrdunga drum in a dynamic symphony that is timeless.
The Temple Bhajan Band plays ancient Vedic bhajans, which include mantras
and chants from spiritual India. Many of the chants are done in a responsive
fashion where the audience can participate and experience the purifying
pleasure of the chanting. At their events they also bring a slide show of
India to exhibit during the chanting.
They are also going to perform at the EastWest Yoga & Health Center on Saturday. Check out www.eastwestyoga.com/event_templebhajanband.php)
On Sunday they are going to perform at the Hare Krishna temple from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For directions go to www.krishnasd.com/contact.html
COMING UP
This Thursday, May 15th, a good old friend of mine by the name of Kaunteya will visit the lounge. He’s from Italy.
Kaunteya will, among other things, show us how to push an elephant through the eye of a needle!!! *(c foot note)
This is going to be very exciting!

Next Thursday, May 22nd, we’ll have a very special guest, or better to say guests, the famous Los Angeles TEMPLE BHAJAN BAND.

- temple bhajan band -
As always the lounge will open by 7pm. See you there.
=================================================
(*) Foot note: This is a joke of course. Though Kounteya will do all kinds of other wonderful things, he is not going to force a poor elephant to go through the eye of a needle.
Revolution – to revolve or turn around
This is a talk Mahat recently gave at the temple’s Sunday Festival.
